Referrals & Getting Started

Access Telehealth Psychological Services Anywhere in Australia

Outlook Psychology Practice welcomes referrals from:

• GPs, Psychiatrists, Paediatricians
• Allied Health Professionals
• Government & Community Agencies
• Schools and Support Coordinators

We also accept self-referrals — no GP letter required.

For Clients – Self-Referral & Medicare Options

You can book a telehealth appointment with a psychologist or mental health clinician without a referral.

• Private Health Insurance:Check rebate eligibility with your provider.
• Medicare Rebates:Ask your GP for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and referral to Outlook Psychology Practice under the Better Access initiative.

Better Access provides:

• Up to 6 subsidised sessions initially
• 4 additional sessionsafter GP review
• Total of 10 sessions per calendar yearvia telehealth

Please provide a copy of your MHCP and referral before your appointment — either have your GP email it to us or bring it to your first session.

For Referrers – How to Refer

If referring a client via Medicare Better Access:

1. Email theMHCP and referral letter to:
